The corn borer is a pest that causes severe damage to corn crops. In addition to the normal use of chemicals, the spread of the corn borer can be countered by an insect, its natural antagonist. This is the Trichogramma Brassicae, which by laying its eggs in the corn borer’s eggs is able to counteract it in a completely natural way, in full compliance withorganic farming protocols. With Venture, a high-performance multirotor developed by Turin-based Pro S3 and equipped with the Trichodrop dispenser, it is now possible to treat up to 4 hectares per flight. Just fill Trichodrop with capsules containing Trichogramma larvae, plan the automatic mission with a few simple clicks, and you’re done. Venture takes care of the rest.
After consent to take off, Venture will move to the entry point of the field to be treated, and begin dropping capsules according to when prescribed by the supplier (usually 125 capsules per hectare). Upon exiting the area to be treated, Venture will stop distributing, realign for another pass, and only when back in the field will it resume distributing capsules. All automatically, without wasting a single capsule! The operator on the ground can check the correct execution of the operation by displaying the flight path on the map and checking how many capsules have been distributed by means of the counter, which alerts us when each capsule leaves the dispenser.
