Versatility is one of the most distinctive features of our drones and unmanned flight systems. What, then, are the main applications of our drones? For convenience, we have grouped them into four macro-categories.
Mapping
Until a decade ago, mapping was a very complex operation, possible only through aircraft. Over the years, however, drones have gained a foothold in what is a series of data surveys that are crucial for agriculture, livestock and beyond. Thanks to mapping, in fact, it is possible to detect groundwater and underground elements but also to assess, month after month, coastal erosion, one of the main problems of some Italian regions.
Biological control
In addition to data, drones can be effective tools in controlling agricultural pests. On our Venture LE, we have developed Trichodrop, a system by which we can release capsules with trichogramma larvae that control the spread of corn borers, lepidopteran pests that are very harmful to corn crops, in areas as large as 80 hectares.
Agriculture
Not only biological control: the increasingly accurate chambers of our multirotors, especially the Mapper version, allow monitoring with a great level of detail the evolution of crops and water resources (in a historical period like this it is even more important to keep them under control), up to the foliage vigor index.
Surveillance
As with the water situation, this is unfortunately a very topical issue. With our drones it is possible to carry out surveillance operations, both of private areas and of production facilities, as well as search for people, even at night thanks to cameras that are sensitive to visible, near-infrared and thermal: an extra tool when human help cannot arrive.
