PRIVACY POLICY AND COOKIE USAGE

Cookies EU Law
The website ProS3.eu uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of procedures and enhance the user experience of online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by ProS3.eu, and how to manage them.
Definitions
Cookies are small text files (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same site visit (session cookies) or later, even days after (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, based on user preferences, by the browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone). Similar technologies, such as web beacons, transparent GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and service usage. In this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply as “cookies.”
Types of Cookies
Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish several categories:
Strictly Necessary Cookies.
These are essential cookies for the proper functioning of ProS3.eu and are used to manage login and access to reserved areas of the site. The duration of these cookies is strictly limited to the session (they are deleted when the browser is closed). Disabling them compromises the use of services accessible via login. The public part of the pros3.eu site remains normally usable.
Analytics and Performance Cookies.
These cookies are used to collect and analyze traffic and site usage anonymously. These cookies, although they do not identify the user, allow us to track whether the same user returns at different times. They also enable system monitoring and improvement of performance and usability. Disabling these cookies can be done without any loss of functionality.
Profiling Cookies.
These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously and non-anonymously) user preferences and enhance the browsing experience. The pros3.eu site does not use this type of cookie.
Third-Party Cookies
When visiting a website, you may receive cookies from both the site visited (“first-party”) and from sites managed by other organizations (“third-party”). A notable example is the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn. These are parts of the page visited generated directly by these sites and integrated into the hosting site’s page. The most common use of social plugins is to share content on social networks. The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant policies. For greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the different policies and ways to manage cookies are provided below.

Cookie Duration
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Other cookies “survive” the browser closure and are available in subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent cookies, and their duration is set by the server upon creation. In some cases, an expiration is set; in others, the duration is unlimited. pros3.eu does not use persistent cookies. However, while browsing the pages of pros3.eu, you may interact with sites managed by third parties that may create or modify permanent and profiling cookies.
Cookie Management
The user can decide whether to accept cookies by using the settings on their browser. Note: Disabling technical cookies, in whole or in part, may compromise the use of features reserved for registered users. On the other hand, public content can be used even if cookies are completely disabled. Disabling third-party cookies does not affect site navigation in any way. Settings can be configured specifically for different sites and web applications. In addition, the best browsers allow different settings for first-party cookies and third-party cookies. For example, in Firefox, through the Tools->Options->Privacy menu, you can access a control panel where you can define whether or not to accept various types of cookies and proceed with their removal.
