Torino (Italy) – Oct 19 2016: Exomars mission is completing the most important task by releasing Schiaparelli module on the Mars surface. Italian technology played a leadership role in this mission with the important contribution of Italian firms involved in this task. Pro S3 Unmanned Technologies is among those companies giving his small but important contribution.
Agricolture applications tests started with success. The biological fight against European Corn Worm is the case chosen for the first trial. This specific treatment involves the distribution of thousands of insects called Trichogramma Brassicae, capable of fighting the worm. Those insects are contained in small cellulose capsules. Venture Surveyor, equipped by a special internally developed distributor, is capable to fly a complete automatic mission, releasing capsules one by one upon reaching accurate positions.
Trial activity with Italian National Fire Corps has started. Venture Surveyor and Wavesight UAV are being evaluated by the Province of Turin Fire Brigade headquarter in order to be successfully operated for search oriented topography and SAR operations. The trial activity, lasting six months, will have the target of defining the optimal performance/payload combination as well as the best operating protocol required for the operational everyday usage.
